Public funds for staff recruitment in spain

The Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO), under the State Program for Talent Development and Employability, has launched a line of public funds to promote and support hiring in the context of Industrial research, Experimental development and/or Viability Studies, in order to promote the career of researchers and stimulate demand in the private sector, with sufficiently prepared staff to undertake Research and Development plans, as well as helping to consolidate technological startups viability.

The initial duration of the program is for 3 years and could be extended until 4, depending on the project, and the Grant could cover up to 70% of the total cost of the salary. The range of the salaries are between 18,000 € to 55,000 € per year, depending on the type of program to which the Company applies to. The public funds will cover the annual gross salary cost and the employer’s social contribution, among others.
